This was a private commission for a Guardians of the Galaxy 8 color screenprint. I tried to capture the look and feel of an 80's space opera and the vibes of the time referenced in the film. 

This was created in Photoshop CS6 using my Wacom Cintiq 21UX. I occasionally switched between that and my new Cintiq Companion. As always, I lost track of how long this piece took but it took around a month to complete. 

While I always use a low opacity layer to shade my artwork I never tried to simulate the effect in a screenprint. That is until now. We were able to dillude black ink and screen a transparent black across the print simulating shading. The end result was amazing.

I also made a green variant withfluorescent green ink
